Do I need to install an app on my phone?
No. Use WhatsApp for conversational workflows, or use the Runwhile web app on your phone for Quick Actions, screenshots, and remote control.
How secure is the connection?
Only you can access your Mac. We use direct WebRTC P2P connections for remote control and file transfers. Your screen is never stored on our servers.
Is it safe to use AI with my clipboard?
Yes. Runwhile includes a local risk-assessment engine. If your clipboard contains API keys, passwords, or sensitive credentials, our system detects it and blocks the transformation before it ever reaches the AI. Your secrets stay on your Mac.
What happens if my Mac goes to sleep?
Runwhile includes a Keep Awake mode that prevents your Mac from sleeping while active. It even supports clamshell mode, so you can close your laptop lid and keep it running.
How does the remote clipboard work?
Runwhile securely syncs your Mac clipboard to the web app. Browse clipboard history, preview files and images with thumbnails, edit copied text, download files, or open them directly on your Mac. For text, Runwhile can also translate, summarize, rewrite, or transform clipboard content using AI.
Which languages are supported?
Runwhile currently supports English and Spanish for conversational workflows and quick actions. We intentionally focus on a smaller set of languages to keep interactions fast, reliable, and deterministic across AI-powered automations.
Can I download files from my Mac?
Yes. Ask Runwhile to search for a file. It searches your Mac instantly and provides a secure, direct P2P link to download the file directly from your Mac to your phone.
